Parly Scott is a senior and student journalist at the University of Utah. She is interning with Student Media at the U, writing and interviewing for the UStories platform. She has been an arts and culture collaborating writer and interviewer for SLUG Magazine, a local publication that covers art, lifestyle, culture, music and more in Salt Lake City. Scott hopes to continue with journalism and write for publications after graduating in spring. She has gained extensive experience in writing, editing and enterprise reporting through her journalism classes and hands-on work. When she isn’t interning and working on her journalism classes, she spends time with friends, family and her dog, Leo. She loves to snowboard, run and read books from her “must read” reading list.
